Morning: Depart Arusha for Tarangire National Park (approx. 2–3 hours). The park is famous for its giant baobab trees and large elephant herds.
Game Drive: Spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, lions, and a wide variety of birds (over 550 species). During the dry season, Tarangire’s river attracts many animals, making game viewing excellent.
Evening: Overnight at a lodge/camp near or inside Tarangire.
Morning: Drive to Lake Manyara National Park (approx. 2 hours).
Game Drive: Explore this compact but diverse park, famous for its tree-climbing lions, large troops of baboons, flamingos on the lake, and hippos in the pools. The park also has lush groundwater forests and hot springs.
Evening: Overnight near Lake Manyara/ Karatu.
Scenic Drive: Head northeast to Lake Natron (approx. 4–5 hours, partly on rough roads). The landscape is dramatic, with views of the active volcano Ol Doinyo Lengai.
Afternoon Activity: Guided flamingo walk along Lake Natron’s shores — millions of lesser flamingos breed here, making it a spectacular sight.
