Tour Plan

Day 1 – Nairobi to Amboseli, Afternoon Game Drive

Morning: Depart Nairobi and drive through scenic landscapes toward Amboseli National Park (approx. 4–5 hours). Along the way, you’ll see rural towns and the open countryside of southern Kenya.

Arrival & Check-in: Reach your lodge/camp in time for lunch or shortly after. Relax and soak in the views — Amboseli is famous for its backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest free-standing mountain in the world.

Afternoon Game Drive: Head out in the late afternoon when wildlife becomes more active. Amboseli is known as the “Land of the Giants” because of its huge elephant herds. Expect to see elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, and possibly lions or cheetahs.

Evening: Return to camp for dinner under the African sky.

Day 2 – Full Day Game Drive in Amboseli

Morning Game Drive: Start early for the best wildlife viewing. Kilimanjaro is usually most visible in the morning, making it a prime time for photography.

Midday: Enjoy breakfast and continue exploring Amboseli’s swampy areas, which attract hippos and a variety of birds, including pelicans and crowned cranes.

Picnic Lunch or Lodge Break: You may have a picnic in the park or return to camp for lunch.

Afternoon Game Drive: Continue spotting predators and grazers. Amboseli’s open plains make animal spotting easier compared to other parks.

Highlights: Massive elephants, stunning Kilimanjaro views, and diverse birdlife.

Day 3 – Amboseli to Tsavo West

Early Morning Game Drive in Amboseli: A final chance to see the elephants with Kilimanjaro in the background.

Transfer to Tsavo West: Drive to Tsavo West (approx. 3–4 hours). The landscape changes dramatically — Tsavo West is more rugged and hilly with volcanic formations.

Afternoon Game Drive: Explore the park, which is known for its Mzima Springs (clear pools fed by underground streams, home to hippos and crocodiles) and the dramatic Shetani lava flows. Wildlife includes lions, leopards, giraffes, kudu, and elephants.

Evening: Overnight at your lodge/camp inside Tsavo West.

Day 4 – Tsavo West to Tsavo East

Morning Game Drive in Tsavo West: Visit highlights like Mzima Springs if not covered earlier, or enjoy the rugged landscape drives.

Transfer to Tsavo East: Drive eastward into Kenya’s largest park (approx. 3 hours). Tsavo East has vast open plains, red soil, and fewer visitors, making it feel very wild.

Afternoon Game Drive in Tsavo East: Spot the famous “red elephants” (they dust themselves with red soil), along with lions, cheetahs, zebras, and buffalo. Tsavo East is also great for spotting large herds of animals moving across the savannah.

Evening: Overnight in Tsavo East.

Day 5 – Tsavo East to Nairobi

Early Morning Game Drive in Tsavo East: Your last chance to track predators or watch elephants at dawn.

Breakfast at Lodge: After the drive, return for breakfast.

Transfer to Nairobi: Journey back (approx. 5–6 hours). Arrive in Nairobi by afternoon/evening, marking the end of your safari.
